Description:
- Assist with general workshop activities while completing on the job and classroom based training.
- Assist in cleaning, inspecting, disassembling and other basic workshop activities
- Learns Standard Repair Times (SRTs) and follows documented procedures and policies to complete basic repairs and maintenance
- Assists with completing required documentation, such as work completed documentation and time sheets via handwritten forms or business system input screens
- Completes training in line with skill and business requirements
- Maintains work area and tools for cleanliness and proper operation
- Ensure adherence to all relevant Health, Safety & Environmental policies, procedures and legislation and reports any issues / incidents to their supervisor

- Diagnostic Application - Translate customer complaints into troubleshooting plans; follow workflow instructions, procedures, and use specialized equipment (such as mechanical and electronic repair tools) to diagnose faults and isolate malfunctioning components in computer software for successful repairs; confirm repairs through repetitive complaints and ensure issues are resolved; record troubleshooting outcomes in business systems to communicate actions taken for invoicing and historical tracking.
- Application of Electronic Service Tools - Identify the available suite of hardware and software tools required for service events; utilize a combination of suitable electronic tools to maintain products or diagnose and rectify faults; interpret results from electronic tools or provide recommendations to determine subsequent steps in service solutions.
- Product Repair and Maintenance - Follow guidelines to repair and maintain mechanical/electrical products, using required tools within standard repair times to ensure quality repair services; adhere to guidelines in dismantling and reassembling engines or generators, employing necessary tools to ensure a tidy and organized environment; follow reuse guidelines to inspect and replace parts and components to minimize total cost of ownership for customers; comply with inspection guidelines to restore products to pre-failure conditions.
- Electrical Knowledge - Demonstrate understanding of working under low and/or high voltage conditions adhering to Cummins and industry standards by complying with all safety work procedures, including wearing personal protective equipment to foster a safe working environment; apply fundamental electrical principles and knowledge of electronic components using appropriate tools and procedures to safely and efficiently diagnose and repair products.
